April 25, 2022 Cape Town

It's hard as a missionaries to not get discouraged. It's so easy to look beyond the mark and not give credit where credit is due. Why do I say that? Well, I have been setting a goal. I want to strive to give all the glory to God and to align my will with his. But its hard, so often I think about the many talents I have, not remembering that God allowed and helped md to develop them. In this missionary work it's easy to say "I am the best, I get all the baptisms" or something along those lines. And it's not nessisarily a bad thing as long as you are humble about it, and recognizing the hand of our loving father in it. I, and our Father in Heaven. Want each of you to be rock stars. Or sunbeams. But I order to do so we have to make good use of our awesomeness. Expessialy if you are extra awesome (you know who you are). But lucky it's easy to make good use of our talents. I'll tell you how. One, you use your talents to help other. Either by lifting them up using it, teaching them, or somehow drawing them closer to God. It's the parable of the talents, don't bury them. Second, you pray for more gifts and knowledge and it will come. Maybe not in the way you want it but it will come, to be used for helping others. And third you give all the glory or credit to God and you be humble about it. That's right, you got to be humble. Sorry Luke my little Brother. Just because you are the best at basketball doesn't mean you can brag. Jk I love you. But if you do these simple steps, you will grow. Into a amazing talented, Son (or daughter) of God and will willingly bring everyone peace joy and happiness especially yourself. I love you all

Anyways, this week I climbed a very tall tower. I said my prayers before it though, and luckily I did. I talked with this man who has prepared himself for Baptism and am so excited for him to receive that pure joy and happiness. And I walked miles, and miles. I don't know if it's true but apparently whenever you walk a mile or more on your mission your wife gets hotter. So.... you are welcome!!!!

With Love, Elder Brice.
I Be Herbert (if you know you know)
I also am a missionary
