December 13, Cape Town

Well we'll, it's been a while. It's a pleasure to write to all of you this fine week. The good news, is I will have a short email today. So if you don't like reading, I'm your best man. All you need now is to just build up the courage to read.

This week has been slow, really slow. It makes me think a snail is fast compared to this week.  -I have seen alot of snails this week, maybe it's a plot to take over- and the reason it's been slow is due to covid. That evil disease called Covid 19. But what can we do, besides pray and work our hardest (and undermine the snails plot). We are in quarantine because of covid. Which is unbelievably disconcerting!

It all started because of interviews. When we pulled up to the mission office nothing was amiss. The ginea fowl (I can't spell) were pecking the ground. Betraying nothing of their plot.... we walked into the small building, leaving behind a tiwi less car. -muhaha beat that other missionaries (if you arent a missionary you won't get it, sorry)- We were waiting patiently hoping that our suspicions about the fowl wanting to betray us was vain. But as soon as the mission president arrived they sprung their trap. All because I tried to catch one, or two, or maybe three of the birds. Shortly after meeting with the mission president each person having their own interview and giving him a hug we recieved the news. Barely home from the interviews, we were informed that President got exposed to covid and we were all in lockdown for the next 10 days. And as such, I remain in my apartment till Sunday. Hoping and praying for fowl meat to exact my revenge and find out how well they taste.

But luckily I don't have covid! And I'm faster than a snail, but not quite fast enough to catch a fowl. It's a work in progress though. And because I've been locked up I have no pictures for yall. All I have done is read alot of scriptures say alot of prayers. Make bread and cookies and have tried not to eat alot...   ...but that's been a struggle

Well I love yall and hope the best for you!! Stay sweet and keep working hard. Dream big and trust in the Lord. I know that as I have worked my hardest the Lord has helped me with the rest and I've been blessed. You will be blessed too, all you got to do is trust the lord. And avoid snails, they are always plotting. Just shake them up a little maybe give them some salt....

Love, Elder Brice!!
