 MTC Experience

 

Well its p day and I'm having a great time. For all you thinking about a mission undecided or not, do it! The holy ghost is amazing and the things you learn awesome. You will come to grow both physically, mentally and spiritually. It will change your life. 

Here's been my life so far, besides the teaching and lessons that you take and try to avoid sleeping in. Not that I have any experience with that... if any you ask I'm required to say no

I've met with some interesting people who are missionaries or servants called to serve christ. One such fellow is elder tanner a compete cowboy. From taking on a wasp nest with a stick and losing. -of course I wouldn't lose- he's gone from throwing 22s in a fire, which is pretty fun, to pushing over a porta potty with his friend inside and sitting on the door -which in my mind is a little cruel- his favorite thing to do is buck bales and his accent is spot on -im trying to gain it- 

Another fun thing is bible bashers people who sit on the side of the road waiting for missionaries to come nearby so they can spew their words of Isaiah and tell us that we are wasting our life, which frankly I figured that I'm not the guy sitting on the side of the road who barely understands the doctrine trying to bring down missionaries who are just trying to be like christ. I mean come on if you really believe in christ it doesn't matter what they believe as long as they are doing good you don't have to tear them down. 

Oh and basketball, which is not my forte I've managed to trip 2 elders and cause a few problems. Now don't get me wrong I'm athletic and can run and wrestle and tackle but who makes these rules. I mean I play street ball rules, no blood no goals right? But apparently tackling and body slamming is not correct conduct of a missionary, but I mean christ flipped over tables and threw out money changers so why can't I when I'm losing? I'm kidding, kind of.

And there's a tons of fruit laying around, not that I've helped with it. Or I guess you'll never know. As such there are now signs up banning fruit and making messes with it. But we are nice and careful and take care of all messes now. 

What I've learned not to do, don't try the candy handed out by other missionaries sometimes they are good sometumes... don't pick the flowers or the grass, although you might want to put the wheat in your mouth or give the flower away it will bring the fiery wrath of the president down to bear upon you, and I don't know how but some of those guys are fast even for their age. Don't try to talk to the birds or even think about the squirrel angrily chatting with you, no matter how much you want to eat it your companion will think you are crazy if you start mentioning it. Other than that just love the lord and be amazing! The lord loves you and I do too

And of course I'm going to have the hottest wife, there's a saying the more prayers you have the hottest your wife gets. Sadly I have said every prayer today personal and in groups and I didn't even volunteer for half of them. I've ended with like 12 prayers in one day for group meetings. It's been a blast. I have loved the MTC and the experiences I've gotten I love jesus christ and all you guys back at home. No matter the struggle christ will be with you, if any one needs anything I'll accept emails and answer them too. You guys are awesome!!!!
