We are delighted to inform you that your son, Elder Brice has arrived safely at Cape Town International airport. He is part of a group of ten elders. They are currently on their way to the Mission Home where they will be accommodated for the night.
Tomorrow morning, after our weekly zoomtech meeting, they will pay a traditional visit to Signal Hill which has a panoramic view of our world renowned Table Mountain, the City of Cape Town, the Atlantic Ocean and Lion's Head. From there they will proceed to the Mission Office for a SACTM orientation, after which they will be ready to depart to their specific assignments.
Thank you for sharing your son with us and rest assured we will love him and do all we can to assist him in his missionary endeavors.
Yours sincerely
Sister Dorothy Gray

Well, I am in Africa. Its been a solid rough first few days but it has been a total party I think...
Jet lag is the worse. I want to die I have gotten so little sleep the first few days. I stayed up a total of about 30 hours before I finally went to bed, But its hard to adjust to the time difference so sleeping each and every night has been hard. The members are awesome. They literally keep asking me for more Missionary work and I just barely got here.
Ive killed another companion, I had been with him for nearly 24 hours and then his knee and back was troubling him (we are in a biking area with is tough) He was a awesome companion, hes gone now...
Well, ff Africa feeds you alot, I had two member meals and I don't know what happened as a result of them. I was feeling stuffed and was wanting to die, I prayed for relief for my poor belly. As I feel asleep that night I couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned and eventually threw up twice (throwing up is the worst). I am now as sick as a dog and trying to stay alive. I hope my email makes sense because my brain is not functioning at full capacity.
But overall its a parrty and I love it here, its been rough but fun. Its weird with non of the missionaries following the typical American mission rules. But other than that its interesting. My companion back in America (Swahili group) got and is trainging an Elder Griffin whose twin brother is in my zone, They are brand new from the MTC. So that was interesting... I dont have any pictures yet, sadly but Ill pull some togethor either part of the way through the week or next p day. I love yall
Stay awesome
