Well this week has been exciting! Its been another crazy week in church. Today at church we had a blind guy come up. His life long dream is to become a preacher, so it wasn't our normal Sunday. He stood up and was guided to the stand to give his sermon and a sermon it was. After he was guided to the stage he proceeded to tell us about John the baptist and his clothing, which this preacher was wearing. His fur coat and belt which was girdled about him. It was funny, he would say a verse in Swahili turning right and left and backwards to address the crowd. He would wave his hands and cry AMINA or amen in Swahili. Then he wod wait for us to respond with amen. He continued this process till John the baptist asked us to repent, which he screamed out a few times REPENT, REPENT REPENT (all in swahili) I was amazed the difference between our church and this sermon. There wasnt the same welcoming spirit with his yelling and actions and preaching backwards. He is a awesome guy though. One who wants to and is trying to be a better person, I dont mean to put him down or be judging. It was good, just different.
So... Normally in this mission we ask people to be baptised. On Sunday Greg, who we have been praying for non stop called us and begged to be baptized. He said he was reading the ComeuntoChrist.org page the church has and how much good they do in charitys and support to the needy. He told us he wants to be baptized into this church because he knows it is true. Its amazing to see how our prayers and his agency and God blessed him to know the truth. I implore all of you to read and to pray and ask god if this church, if these books (bible and Book of Mormon) are true. I know I have asked God and have recieved an answer and its been the best thing in my life. I love you all. Do what is right and serve God. Mosiah 7:33 And if you will turn to the lord with full purpose of heart and trust him and serve him with all dillegence of mind, if ye do this, he will according to his own will and pleasure deliver you out of bondage. (If any words are wrong its my fault, I typed it from memory). You all are amazing!! Choose the right and send me emails too! I can answer mondays but Ill read all of them.
